The daughter of a librarian, Angie grew up surrounded by words — sitting cross-legged in an aisle, reading book after book, traveling the cosmos without ever leaving the dusty library.
Supporting authors as they find their voice and publish their novels is a dream come true for that little girl sitting cross-legged in dusty libraries. Twenty years of daily newspaper production later — as news, copy, and layout editor of the McCurtain Daily Gazette, overseeing more than 4,000 publications — she brings the precision of a journalist and the passion of a lifelong reader to every manuscript she touches.
She has completed more than twenty book projects. Her most common work combines deep line editing with voice-matched ghostwriting — filling thin scenes, strengthening dialogue, and shaping manuscripts into the books their authors always meant them to be. All editing is done collaboratively in Google Docs.
"Words are my passion. I believe you can't be a great editor without also being a voracious reader."
Angie Willingham is a bit of a creative genius.
She's been with me from the beginning and has worked on almost all my final drafts. I'd be lost without her. The difference between submitting a quality piece of work versus an amateur one is hiring a damn good editor. It's invaluable.
